Jeff McMillan | Prigus Sport Australia

ANP Artist Jeff McMillan will be starting off his Australia Prigus Sport Tour Friday, October 2nd from 6-8pm at the RVCA Corner Gallery in Melbourne. The Prigus Sport Tour will then continue on with shows in Sydney and Byron Bay.

ORIGINATING IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF GEORGIA IN A SMALL TOWN CALLED RABUN GAP, PRIGUS WAS BIRTHED BY SEVERAL COMPETITIVE FARMERS AND A COUPLE WILD DOGS. IT STARTED IN THE FIELDS 1922, MADE ITS WAY INTO THE EAST COAST COLLEGE CIRCUIT IN 1925, THEN SPREAD WEST AS FAR AS GOLETA IN SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BY 1936.

PRIGUS SPORT IS A FAST MOVING GAME WHERE THE PLAYERS ADVANCE THE GAME BALL (THE PRIGUS) UP THE FIELD USING PADDLES AND DOGS. THE OBJECT OF THE GAME IS TO KNOCK DOWN THE OPPONENT'S PINS IN THEIR GOAL ZONE WITH THE PRIGUS. THE FIRST TEAM TO KNOCK DOWN ALL SIX PINS WINS THE GAME. BUT THERE'S MUCH MORE TO IT THAN THAT!

AS WELL AS FOCUSING ON THE RICH HISTORY OF PRIGUS SPORT GOING BACK TO THE RABUN GAP GEORGIA ERA, THIS EXHIBITION WILL PREMIER SIX NEW PRO TEAMS AND FIVE MINOR LEAGUES IN FIVE TERRITORIES ALL OVER AUSTRALIA. PRIGUS SPORT AUSTRALIA IS THE FIRST EXPANSION LEAGUE OVERSEAS.
