Francesco Igory Deiana

Francesco Igory Deiana

Francesco Igory Deiana: born in Milan, Italy, lives and works in San Francisco. Known for his probing and large and ball point pen drawings on paper, where the flickness of feelings shines through the gestural expressivity of lines. His pursuit bounds together the connections between man, nature and the social system we're living in.

In his portraits natural and civilization elements are melted together through geometrical frames, becoming more and more abstract, up to the fading, like the clouds in his latest works: pure sensation.

Some of his past exhibitions: Biokip galley "Cool cat" two person show, June 2006, Milan, Italy; XPO gallery "In the streets", group show, 2006, Milano, Italy; Minna Gallery "Hot Freaks", group show, August 2010, San Francisco, USA .Garage sale project "Into my Wild", solo show, March 2010, San Francisco; V1 Gallery "Let's go bombing tonight", group show curated by Barry McGee and Josh Lazcano, June 2011, Copenhagen, DK; Galleria Patricia Armocida "Contemporaries" group show curated by Stephen Powers, september 2011, Milan,Italy; RVCA gallery, "Locals only" group show, october 2011, San Francisco, CA ; Parklife gallery SF, CA ''MORE LIGHT'' Francesco Deiana, Lafe Harley Eaves February 26th 2012; Workshop gallery,Venice Italy "FINE LINE" Group exhibition 5 April - 26 May 2012; Contemporary Art centre, Paule Anglim gallery "Group show"April 14th May-19th June 2012; Breeze block Gallery, "Space form group show" Sept 6 - Sept 29 Portland Oregon USA; ALICE Gallery, "Domesticated Souls" group show, September 7th, 2012 - October 26th 2012, Brussels Belgium; Ruttkowski 68 gallery "ON THIN ICE" solo show,October 2012, Koln Germany; SOEX gallery, San Francisco silent auction March 23 2013, Breeze block gallery, "wider than a postcard" group show May 2 - june 1 2013 curated by Sven Davis.
