New Zealand Photo Journal

Michael Spencer, Australian team rider, has been jetting around and spent some time in New Zealand last July. HeĀ  finally got around to making something we could all share from it.

Ryan Callinan, Rangi Ormand, Nicholas Damen and Spencer went on a 10 day camper van vagabond around the North Island of New Zealand having Rangi the New Zealand guru show the guys where to go and what to do. Nick is using the footage for an untitled movie project and Spencer shot a bunch of photos (film and digital) on the road. Michael made this tumblr to share the images: nzunspecified.tumblr.com/

Hard Work

Ellis working the lip

Ellis Ericson tells us that he has been working hard on a project with RVCA team mates Tyler Warren and Jason Salisbury. He says that along with photographer Dustin Humphreys, they’ve been riding motorbikes through Indonesia with some self shaped single fins. How is that hard work?

Learn about Ellis’ definition of hard work here and here.

Spencer’s trip North

Micheal Spencer is one of RVCA Australia’s surf team and like many of his team mates, he likes to head north this time of year and get the most out of our Indonesian neighbors. Specifically, they all love Bali.
Spence was in Bali for two weeks surfing with good friend from NZ Rangi Ormand. They stayed down at Caangu at Jimmy Kinnairds house and were filming for a Tracks movie Jimmy’s making (name yet to be released). Shane Fletcher also was there filming for a Waves movie.
They had a car crash at Denpasar en route to Keramas from Caangu. In the carnage of the morning they empaled the trusty silver bullet on the back of a truck then found themselves lost, stuck in the middle of local ceremonies and in towns we never knew existed.

Check out all the photos from the journey here.
