We got a couple quaint little hotel rooms near the beach. Al is shooting photos of his soon to be released line with RVCA so I tagged along and shot some behind the scenes. I followed Al Knost and Ellis Ericson, who is briefly in town from Australia before heading to Hawaii with the crew, into the shaping bay to shape up some boards for Hawaii. Knost with a knifey slick gun and Ellis with a downrail twin beast. Thanks to RS at Wave Tools for supporting the dudes and letting them shape in the shop.
Hopefully they will be put to the test in a couple weeks on the north shore. Check back.
So a bunch of us are heading north to San Francisco. Some dude just won his 18th world title, but we are coming up to surf and hang at the Luggage Store benefit art show among others things yet to be known. I also unfortunately have to return a surfboard to Alex Kopps that he left in my board bag from a trip to mex a few months back. Here are a few photos from the first leg. Last Friday the 15th of April Alex Knost and Alex Kopps continued their tour of fine nation with another art show, this time at Sydney’s corner stone gallery China Heights in Surry Hills.
