RAT Boys 4th of July B-Day golf tournament
All the West side Santa Cruz pros and bros showed up to celebrate Jason Rat Boy Collins’ birthday at De Laviega Golf Course. There were some crazy antics and a lot of beers being sucked down. Everyone ended up alive and only a few people were impaled with golf balls.

A documentary film on surf icon Matt Archbold’s life will be featured at The Frozen Film Festival in San Francisco
Sunset Beach, HI – June 30th, 2008: Billygoat Productions in conjunction with sponsors, RVCA, Surfer Magazine, Santa Cruz Surfboards, Hoven Vision and VAS Entertainment is proud to announce their participation at the Frozen Film Festival in San Francisco.
Directed by Bill Ballard (The Mystic, Blue Crush), Archy chronicles one of the most fascinating and talented surf icons throughout his career as top-amateur, dynamic and innovative pro, troubled athlete, and most of all a survivor.
Since exploding onto the surf scene at 14 years old, Archy’s surfing and style have influenced more than three generations of surfers. He is considered the longest standing, most relevant professional surfer to date.
The film features a variety of professional surfers, musicians, actors and noted industry leaders whom lend their voices and experiences to the chapters of Archy’s story. The film is narrated by rock legend, Henry Rollins, with interviews by Martin Potter, Chris Mauro, Art Brewer, Bruce Irons, Christian Fletcher, Dino Andino, Moses Paskowitz, Sunny Garcia, Herbie Fletcher and Garth Tarlow.
After completing a successful tour thru California, Bill Ballard decided to further edit the film by adding more interviews and an even more refined story line. The final version of this amazing story is one of surfing’s most colorful, iconic documentaries yet.
The Frozen Film Festival will be the FIRST viewing of FINAL VERSION of ARCHY, so don’t miss this momentous occasion.
