ANDREA DOSOUTO

Andrea DoSouto was born in Galicia, Spain. Being a typical 18 year old itching to get out of her small town, she headed cross-country to the big city: Barcelona. There she studied Photography at the University and followed with post-grad studies in Photo Journalism. She discovered her passion to capture moments in time, spending countless hours in the streets photographing the hustle and bustle of city life, including her many friends skateboarding. This led to her action-style photos being published in Europe as well as Internationally. These experiences set her off to travel the world in search of other city streets and a life of spontaneity. The people she meets around the world and the stories they have to share are what inspire Andrea most. “Coast to coast, the sea, the city and a good crew are the constants I need. Now the light of California is my new home…”

With this in mind we went to check out these sick new parks and hook up some kids at the same time. Delivering product to the locals and getting as much crazy footage as possible was our mission. The South African expedition was the most gratifying skate trip I have ever gone on. Learning to appreciate all that you have and recognizing all that others go without is a lesson we should never finish learning. Our crew could have been bigger, but not better. The route: Cape Town, Jeffrey’s Bay, Coffe Bay, Durban, and Johannesburg...
